VIII. of Cups

8= totality keynote= capitulation intense feelings which haven't been acknowleged or acted on now force their way to the forefront, and the querent gives into them. the result? change, the undoing of a relationship with the past, and turning away from established patterns in order to create something new. there will be the abandonment of a person or situation from which the querent simply walks away. other people may see this as foolhardy..an act based entirely on self-delusion. even if this is true, the act is necessary in order to achieve progress in the future. this is a case of the end justifying the means. the experience is of giving into external forces and internal feelings, allowing them to hold sway. resulting changes will be in the realm of affections and personal relationships where emotional bonds exist. notice how carefully the cups are arranged before the cloaked figure abandons them. this is a card that shows the abandonment of feelings..the cloaked figure simply walks away.
